Although the 1970s opened with Hollywood
experiencing a financial and artistic depression, the decade became a creative
high point in the US film industry. Restrictions on language, adult content and
sexuality, and violence had loosened up, and these elements became more widespread.
The hippie movement, the civil rights movement, free love, the growth of rock
and roll, changing gender roles and drug use certainly had an impact.

The Horror of Frankenstein-This film parodies the Frankenstein story. Follows the story of the arrogant Baron Von Frankenstein, a descendant of the original Baron. He drops out of medical school after knocking up the dean’s daughter and sets up a lab to experiment with dead bodies.

Orca:The killer whale - is a 1977 American adventure horror film directed by Michael Anderson and produced by Dino De Laurentiis, starring Richard Harris, Charlotte Rampling, and Will Sampson. It is based on Arthur Herzog's novel of the same name. The film follows an male orca whale tracking down and getting revenge on a captain for killing the whale's pregnant mate.
Reception towards the film was unfavorable
by critics and audiences alike to due to its similarities to Jaws at the time,
released two years prior. Upon release the film received only minor theatrical
success, but in recent years the film has achieved a cult following among.
