Location Planning

The majority of the filming of our film opening will take place in a forest on the glebe. The reason we are using the forest as one of our locations is because it's secluded. A secluded location is one of the conventions of a teen horror movie therefore it's a suitable location. Also because it's secluded, it adds suspense and a sense of mystery to the opening. 

We will also film part of the opening on a driveway with a car. This allows us to use the car as a prop for the mise-en-scene of our opening. Also, because it's on a driveway, it indicates that the villain lives there which helps the audience understand that the victim has been captured. This is where we will film most of the opening.

We initially planned to do the filming of our opening in a forest in the Ise Lodge. However, when we got there and we started recording, there wasn't the right scenery for all of our shots. Therefore we recorded a few shots there that we could use when editing our opening together. The reason why it wasn't suitable was because there wasn't enough forest to run through therefore we used it for a different part of the opening.
